Your international flight needs to arrive before 14h00 at Pemba to do a same day connection to Lugenda Wildlife Reserve. Fly with a light aircraft from Pemba Airport to Lugenda airstrip (duration +/- 90 min). Transfer from the airstrip to Lugenda Bush Camp. Overnight.

Qualified guides will do schedule game drives and walking safaris during the day. Big game such as elephant, buffalo, hartebeest, eland and zebra can be seen on game drives. Other game such as impala, wildebeest, hippo, lion, leopard, warthogs and spotted hyena can also be seen. Overnight at
Lugenda Bush Camp.

| Day 3 : Lugenda Wildlife Reserve |
Enjoy another day exploring the area on game drives or walking safaris. The area is a birders paradise and includes the rare Angola pitta (Pitta angolensis), Pel’s fishing owl (Scotopelia peli), and an abundant raptor population. Rovuma River is an Important Bird Area and over 370 bird species have been identified already. Overnight at Lugenda Bush Camp.

| Day 4 : Lugenda Wildlife Reserve / Matemo Island |
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Pemba Airport for your connecting flight to Matemo Island (+/- 20min). Enjoy afternoon at leisure on arrival at Matemo Island. Overnight at
Matemo Island Resort.

Day at leisure or you can visit the local village on Matemo Island or you can arrange a daytrip by boat to the historical Ibo Island. Overnight at Matemo Island Resort.
