Bawi South (Max Depth: 18m)
Access: 15 min boat trip from Stone Town
Bawi Island has a reef stretching around. Here you will find beautiful
corals like acropora, staghorn, brain corals and a large variety
of reef fish. Stingrays and sand sharks often laze on the sandy
bottom. On occasion you may see moray, octopus and pufferfish. |

Murogo Reef(Max Depth: 24m)
Access: 25 min boat trip from Stone Town
Murogo has a sloping reef wall with a huge variety of coral and
fish. Turtles are often seen on this dive. This is an easy dive
and the dramatic drop-off has superb coral, including brain, staghorn,
acropora and plate. |

Pange Reef (Max Depth: 14m)
Access: 20 min boat trip from Stone Town
An enormous variety of coral and lots of tropical reef fish such
as clown fish, parrot fish, Moorish idol and many others. |

Nyange Reef (Max Depth:
26m)
Access: 20 min boat trip from Stone Town
This reef is the largest of all reefs on the west coast and contains
several dive sites, all of which are unique. Have a good swim-through
and many scorpionfish, stonefish and snapper. The coral is diverse
with big plate, mushroom and staghorn varieties. |

Pegasus Wreck (Max Depth:
40m)
Access: 30 min boat trip from Stone Town
This recently discovered 50m long wreck is thought to be the remains
of Pegasus, the British ship sunk by the German gunship Koenigsberg
in 1916. This is for experienced divers only, who will be met by
schools of tuna, trevally, baracuda and jack fish, along with lionfish
and giant stingrays. |
